We're a fibre arts shop and gathering place in Nelson, New Zealand. Yarns, fabrics, patterns, and handmade goods - alongside workshops, shared tables, and the quiet joy of making something with your hands.

Common Threads was created to be a welcoming home for Nelson’s fibre arts community - a space where beginners feel comfortable starting their first project and experienced makers can continue exploring their craft.

Whether you come to find materials, learn a new skill, or simply sit and stitch for a while, you are always welcome.

Because the best things are made slowly - and often together.
